Sherkica’s ideology is to motivate individuals to work toward home ownership and investment goals through one on one credit counseling, a personalized budget, a savings plan, motivational techniques and continued accountability.
Sherkica strives to meet every individual where they are in life and to commit to supporting them through their challenges in order to achieve the ultimate goals of financial stability and self-accomplishment. Sherkica holds both a BSBA and MBA with an emphasis in Marketing. She has over 23 years of experience in financial services, customer service, management and financial consulting. Sherkica also has a mortgage lending background. She has an ABR Designation and is the National Association of Residential Property Management (NARPM) Charlotte Chapter 2020 President. Sherkica is also a proud REALTOR®️ and REALTIST.
Sherkica's greatest business achievements are knowing and taking opportunities, "being positioned spiritually, mentally and financially to purchase Carod Properties when the opportunity was presented in 2008. Many people have opportunities and are not ready to take a leap of faith or are not able to if so desired. "My husband and I were both ready, willing and able when opportunity knocked!"

Sherkica and her supportive husband and business partner, Gary, have been able to exponentially grow Carod Properties, a Charlotte based real estate and property management firm, over the last 15 years. Serving as both Broker-in-Charge and Property Manager, her office provides exceptional service in both North and South Carolina assisting tenants, property owners, buyers, sellers and investors.
With roughly 70% of her sales clients being first time homebuyers, Sherkica has found joy in assisting in the transformation of a tenant into a homeowner. "The feeling is indescribable." Sherkica caters to the needs of hundreds of her worldwide investment clients who span the globe from Saudi Arabia to California. Sherkica is eager to assist with portfolio building and management. Partnering with real estate investors has allowed her to learn the value of wealth-building. She desires to share this knowledge with every client.
Currently, Sherkica and Gary maintain a personal real-estate investment portfolio consisting primarily of single-family residences. These ventures have helped initiate the need for increased education regarding credit, budgeting and savings for low and middle-income earners, specifically women. Because of Sherkica's forward thinking and her heart for this socio-economic group, she created her consulting firm, DIVAS Doing Real Estate.
Sherkica and Gary are the proud parents of Codi, Mackenzie, Madison and Masyn. Sherkica has recently become "Grandma" to an adorable Alaskan Husky. She loves to travel, read and has a new found passion in coloring books for adults.
